BLONDIE PLAYS WITH HER PUMPKINS

Do you mind me showing off my new sink?! I am in love with it. In fact, I have been washing dishes in it rather than the dishwasher because I love it so much. That's true love. On the other hand...my oven has died. There is a problem with the computer panel and I believe I have to get that replaced {the computer panel}. So now that the kitchen is done...I have a glitch. Only me. I can use the stove top, so we won't have to go back to fast food. I was hoping for a moment that the whole thing was shot but I guess I am not going to get out of cooking.
Yesterday was gorgeous, brisk and sunny. I ran errands and The Husband ran his errands and then we met at a little pub called Joe Daniels. We shared a big bowl of chili and a steak sandwich and watched college football. Well, I don't watch football, so I people watched. I can do that for a long time.

On the way home we stopped at my favorite nursery so that I could get new pumpkins {now that the squirrels have feasted on the buffet I put out last week}. I bought one for me and one for Abby to carve, but she was immersed in a scary movie. So I got to work with my nifty little orange knife. One guy is mean and one is happy. I was really looking forward to toasting those seeds, but that is when I found out my computer panel had died. I'm really not having much pumpkin luck this year.

I'm still working on putting the kitchen back together. It seems that all of my dishes, pot and pans and serving platters and bowls have multiplied since I stored them in the family room. I have the essentials in place and they look nice and neat but I still have so much more to squeeze in. If only the carpenter could make a few extra cabinets. So, I'm still plugging away at that.

I hope all of you have a wonderful week. I have a few paint projects I am going to start working on and I will share them with you soon. See ya! :-D

I am joining Marty at A Stroll Thru Life for Table Top Tuesday! Thanks for hosting each week, Marty!

OHHHH!!! I would be loving that sink too! I hate the stainless sinks that EVERYONE has! I have had a porcelain sink in my kitchen for 28 years and it has held up pretty darn well. I LOVE the shape of yours. Mine is a double too but neither side is BIG enough! How is yours for big pots etc.??? Happy Halloween, your punkins looks great:):) XO, Pinky

Wonderful sink Jane! Loving your jack-o-lanterns! So far the squirrels here have left my pumpkins alone -- they have enough other goodies to keep them happy for now, lol. Bless you and your kitchen remodel -- that is such a pain BUT the reward will be great!

Have a good week :)

Blessings!
Gail

Isn't it wonderful to have the sink you LOVE? I adore my new (in 2009) sink, too -- just love it!

Your pumpkins are wonderful. I really envy anyone who can carve a good pumpkin -- as I am the world's WORST carver. Really awful.

We got 8 inches of snow yesterday, so by tomorrow I should be able to see if our outdoor pumpkins survived.
Hope so!
BOO!

I think I am in love with your sink too! I always wash dishes manually, so I guess that means I deserve a great sink like that!

Your pumpkins came out really cute. I hope the squirrels stay away til Tuesday!

Love you sink, Jane. I like my own, too, and often wash dishes rather than throw them in the dishwasher. Well, the truth is that if the dishwasher is full of clean dishes I would rather wash the dirty ones than unload the dishwasher. Is that a sickness, or what?

Don't you love that magical moment when you finish that pumpkin and it just looks so darned cute sitting there? And the smell...and the feel of pumpkin pulp stuck between your fingers? yeahh...THAT is what Halloween is all about!

I hope your oven gets a new panel soon. I hate the electronics we all have nowdays-it seemed simpler before, didn't it?

Hope you have a wonderful Happy Halloween! xo Diana

Where did you find that shape???? It's awesome. Not that I can buy a new sink, since I have one in the shed just waiting for our new counters but I surely love yours. I am not a fan of stainless steel sinks and I love being able to comet the heck out of a sink and make it bright white. Great choice.

I completely understand your sink love. That is gorgeous! I've only carved pumpkins once in my life when we lived in England and I was influenced by the British, Canadian and Americans who surrounded me. If you can't beat them... :)

Love your kitchen Jane - it looks great - sorry to hear of your oven - had to laugh because I haven't had my oven for almost 2 years....the door wouldn't keep shut! We had our appliance store come over to let us know how much to fix it - - - $600 for a new door, and they couldn't be sure that it would work! luckily I have a stove down in the basement - but let me tell you how bad it is to bake cookies - every 8-15 minutes going down to get a batch out - lol!! So, I've been holding out for a kitchen re-do because we want a bigger stove. I really hope you don't have to wait long for yours (since you've just redone your kitchen!!) Congrats on the engagement - YOU will have a blast being the Mother of the Bride for sure!! Can't wait to see what clever things you come up with!!
