Just a little post before we head off to the lake. Hope you have all had a good week. We are still in the middle of a heatwave here in the Midwest, but from my visits to all of you, it sounds like we are all in the same boat. ;-D
I gave my plants a big, cold drink and I am saying a prayer that my flowers at the lake have survived the heat and maybe even got a little overhead sprinkle from the sky!Have a Happy Weekend and I will see you next week! :-)

Have a great weekend! I watered everything again today, it's becoming a daily ritual to keep everything from dying! We did get a tiny bit of rain tonight from a quick moving storm! I hope you have a relaxing time at the lake!

It has been quite warm and muggy here in Chicagoland for sure. Seeing your beautiful flowers makes me miss having them. Hubby and I have talked much about our lack of landscaping and gardens here - next year for sure.
Enjoy your time away and fingers crossed that all is still well with your gardens there, despite the heat.

Yes, I think most of us are in the same boat, but I wish it was a REAL boat and we were all off together on a Blogger's Cruise somewhere in the tropics with nice breezes and cabana boys bringing us cocktails. Yeah, I could go for that this week. Heatwave combined with the AC on the fritz for three days did not make me a happy camper this week.
Yesterday evening though we went down to the river park and after a long hot day, cool breezes were coming in and it felt great. I think the whole town was there for the same reason.
