HOME AGAIN

We got home about 6:00 p.m. last night and it's a little of a relief!  Vacations can be a time to renew and they can also exhaust you!  Bot moreover, they add balance to your life and I sure needed that!  Now it's back to a routine and enjoying the second half of the summer.

If I have missed commenting on your blog, I am so sorry.  I did very little blogging while I was gone, but I promise to catch up this week.  I hope I didn't miss anything juicy!  See you all soon! :)

Your summer time spent on the lake in your cottage home sounds idyllic, and the fishing, the Beast, your heart shaped chairs/flower pot holders, and your new firepit all look fabulous.

Jane, the fire pit is gorgeous. And the potted plant bistro chairs are wonderful, too. I can completely understand if you did want to do a tablescape, I get like that a lot! xo

Vacations are wonderful, but it's always good to be back home. Of course your lake home is also your home, but the routine isn't the same. ;-)
Cute vignette with the bistro table and chairs. You'll need to do a tablescape the next time you're at the lake.

I just love the little bistro chair planters. Brilliant.
Back to work tomorrow for me as well. I managed to get 3 blog posts done this week and that is probably more than what I did all the rest of the month.

Welcome home dear Jane!
What a wonderful and RELAXING vacation you have described in your post. (You know how charmed I am about your Lakehouse.)

Your husband has definitely caught the upcycle bug! The chairs look darling!

Isn't a backyard fire pit the best way to kick back on an evening in the burbs?

I didn't do any blogging while we were on vacation and for once, I decided not to feel guilty about it. I took pictures (some are still in the camera) and have several things and places to write about, along with lots of what I call "food porn". All the fattening food took a toll and I gained back all of those 6 big pounds that took forever to lose!
