We got home about 6:00 p.m. last night and it's a little of a relief! Vacations can be a time to renew and they can also exhaust you! Bot moreover, they add balance to your life and I sure needed that! Now it's back to a routine and enjoying the second half of the summer.
If I have missed commenting on your blog, I am so sorry. I did very little blogging while I was gone, but I promise to catch up this week. I hope I didn't miss anything juicy! See you all soon! :)

Your summer time spent on the lake in your cottage home sounds idyllic, and the fishing, the Beast, your heart shaped chairs/flower pot holders, and your new firepit all look fabulous.
welcome home.
love the new firepit and what ya'll did with the bristo set.. adorable~!
Jane, the fire pit is gorgeous. And the potted plant bistro chairs are wonderful, too. I can completely understand if you did want to do a tablescape, I get like that a lot! xo
Oops, I left out the word "not" lol xo
Welcome home Jane, the pots in the chairs are awfully cute. It is humid here too but we have had much needed rain. Happy Monday, Olive
Vacations are wonderful, but it's always good to be back home. Of course your lake home is also your home, but the routine isn't the same. ;-)
Cute vignette with the bistro table and chairs. You'll need to do a tablescape the next time you're at the lake.
Welcome back.
I like the pots in the chairs. Very creative of the husband.

Glad you had a relaxing time! You are so right about balance-fun + routine, both needed, at least by me!
Sounds like you had a great time Jane, no fresh string beans for me yet this year (the rabbits keep eating the plants) but I just put more seeds in last night. Love the "potted chairs":@)
Your lake house must be a wonderful place to renew yourself, and it's always a good thing when you are happy to come home - it just means you had enough time!
The creative redo on your heart shaped bistro chair is wonderful.
Fondly,
Glenda
Welcome home. We were gone for just a week and I am exhausted. Get rested up dear friend. Big hugs.
I know what you mean about coming home. I like to get away but home is where my heart is.
I just love the little bistro chair planters. Brilliant.
Back to work tomorrow for me as well. I managed to get 3 blog posts done this week and that is probably more than what I did all the rest of the month.
There is truly no place like home. Love getting away but coming home and getting back into the groove is always welcome. Love the new fancy fire pit!
Fishing boats, pretty bistro arrangements and fire pits ~ the stuff a great summer is made of!

I told my husband I was so tired of traveling, I never, ever thought I'd say that but it's true.lol
Love the plants in the chair seats, so cute!
Like you I love to travel but always enjoy arriving back home after a trip.
The fire pit is fab and I'm sure will come in handy on those chilly, out of season, visits to the lake.

I didn't do any blogging while we were on vacation and for once, I decided not to feel guilty about it. I took pictures (some are still in the camera) and have several things and places to write about, along with lots of what I call "food porn". All the fattening food took a toll and I gained back all of those 6 big pounds that took forever to lose!
