Finding neat picture frames to paint is one of my favorite things to do! Yous turned out great, Jane. Now you can't say that you aren't a do it yourselfer! have fun at your lake house, and have a wonderful vacation, too!
Your frames turned out so pretty Janie, and they hold lots of precious memories for you as well... you did a great job!... love your flip~flops (I still call them things!) all lined up!... I am sure you are a great fisherwoman!!! Have fun at the lake, wish I was there!... xoxo Julie Marie PS What are the dogs saying in French by the way???.....
Hi Jane, I really liked the frame with the texture look. Have fun at the lake even though you have cleaning to do. It is just the change of scenery can make a big difference. I hope you take pictures to share on your vacation. We have had storms the last couple of days and today it was very hot and muggy. We are still at 83 degrees. Enjoy your weekend. Hugs from Your Missouri Friend.
great job on the frames, love the colorful clothes and flip flops!Have a good time at the lake, try to enjoy yourself even though it is a cleaning trip,,
I've never seen that paint before, but will have to keep my eyes open for textured paint now. Can't wait to see what you have planned for your frames. Another craft project, maybe?
Hope you have a good time at the lake and have a wonderful weekend!
Well done Jane. The frames were fun and turned out pretty. I am not a DIY girl either. I did spray paint some sad looking candleabras turquoise and they all sold on consignment. Might have to keep buying that color of spray paint. Have fun at the lake. I cannot keep either of my houses clean. I do not know how you do it. CC who is twenty but a mama's girl is keeping me busy now that she is home for five weeks.
Have fun up at the lake, Jane! I know you've been itching to get up there! : ) Love your frames project and I'm looking forward to see what you do to the tray. The weather here has been so humid, with rain and thunderstorms on occasion, but it certainly isn't cooling things off. And it certainly isn't doing anything for my hair!
I am going to have to check out that MS paint, Janie. Looks like an interesting texture. Have a good trip and enjoy walking around in what I still call "thongs." LOL xo Sue
Hi Jane! I would never think to use texture paint on a frame, but I love what you did, will keep it in mind when I start another project, thanks for the tip. Hope you are enjoying your weekend, and the lake house, also, your unmentionables are too cute! Big hugs, from me to you, Maureen xx
Love your new flip flops ~ I decided I need pink now too so Old Navy will be on my to do list this week! What are you going to do with your frames ~ are they for the lake or home?? Do tell Janie :o) Hope you are having a great week-end and that your weather is cooperating with your plans.
You did great with the picture frames! I've looked and looked at that paint. I'm wanting some of the "glitter" or metallic ~ just haven't decided which one.
Hope you have a great weekend! Don't work too hard ~
Your frames turned out neat. It's always fun to work on a project when you're bored. My husband fly fishes too! How about that. Me? Can't stand fishing of any kind AT ALL. I don't understand why everyone likes it so much. That's just me I guess. I guess you either love it or don't. Ha! I'm a flip flops gal too. Can't beat the freedom. You've got a HUGE collection of flipflops! Guess I need to check out Old Navy then.
By now you're having a good time at the lake, I'm sure. Your creative side is pretty good, Jane! Those frames look very nice, and I look forward to seeing the tray.
I wish I could wear flip-flops, but I can't stand that thing between my toes! LOL!!! I try, but I don't last very long . . . and I love how they look too!
Your frames are very nice, Jane. Hope you had a great day at the lake today! It is HOT down in our part of the state. We had to turn on the air-I hate that!
I've got to look for that paint. Sounds interesting to have a bit of texture and the color is awesome.
You and me both girlfriend with the flipflop collection. I keep a basket by the door. So many colors, and not enough feet. I always wonder why I love them so much when our summers here in Oregon are so short so I don't even get to wear them for very long. I think it's the old California habits still hanging on.
Look at all those flip flops...love them! I can't walk in them for hours the way I used to. I need a bit more support if I'm going to be on my feet a long time. I really love all those jammie colors!!
I have a couple things I want to paint...I like the idea of the textured look. You did a great job. Love the color combo.
So wish I had a lake home to go to on weekends...I know it is more work, but it sounds so great. We did have one when I was a kid, in fact we moved out there for the summer and my dad drove back and forth to work. Those were the days!
Great job on the frames Jane, they look so charming! I hope you had a great lake house trip, sounds good to me...I love your lake house! Are you going back to Asheville? Have a wonderful week friend, Cindy
Hi darling, love the frames, what treasures to have from your dad and you've decked them all out in your style. Kitty on the bed is adorable. I know you're going to have a great trip, wish I could hide away in your suitcase and go with you.. hugs ~lynne~
I think your Lake house sounds soooo romantic! I would love to have a place to go all summer long! I am looking forward to many posts about your time there! I LOVE flip flops too!
I love that paint! I will have to check that out! See? I knew you would be lake bound! We talked about going this weekend but it is supposed to rain here....bummer! I have a TON of things I need do do around my house...I have no time for rain!
