Oh it was wonderful. Did you see the hockey game? I don't think I sat down the entire time! And now I need a manicure! And Karen's comment made me fall off the sofa laughing :) Kathy

We watched the hockey game yesterday... I'm glad they at least received Silver! If it was the Stanley Cup, there would have been no silver or bronze to take home! ;)

Loved the short track, skiing and ice skating. Somehow though I did not watch it as often as I have in the past.

Oh, Jane, that does look like a Christmas wreath!

Have a fun week,
Bonnie

Oh Jane Sweetie...
That is the most precious picture. I so love sweet girls little face. What a beautiful smile she has.

I loved the ice skating and the downhill races best of all. They look so free at both sports.

Oooh I love that mirror that you have hanging above your mantel. Jane sweetie it is absolutely beautiful. I thank you for sharing as always, such a wonderful treat.

Have a beautiful evening. Country hugs and much love...Sherry

You're not going to believe this, but I didn't watch any of it. For some reason, I just wasn't interested.

Glad your family lent their support!

Yes I loved watching the Olympics, and was screaming at the Hockey game yesterday, but I gotta say, these bloggin ladies are a hoot! Karen really gave me a chuckle!

To defend myself, I'd say "Oh, Karen, that's not a Christmas wreath, it's a WINTER wreath!!!!" LOL ;o) Judi

I just loved the watching the Olympics. My favorite was the ice skating of course. So many touching stories, so many incredible athletes. I especially loved the ceremonies last night because it brought back such wonderful memories of living in Canada. They are the nicest people!!!

Great pic! :) We enjoyed the games this year, too. Not ALL of them, but many. I'm an Apolo fan, so it was great to see him make Olympic history!

Well I live about a 4 hour drive from Vancouver and I am very impressed at how this whole event came off...it started badly, but ended up being so exciting and I wish I had taken the time to drive to Vancouver to just be in that crowd!! Our country sure needed that boost of patriotism that we got especially after beating the US in the hockey game!! We still have people driving around with Canadian flags attached to their cars and also wearing the clothing...Hopefully we dont lose that feeling too soon...and thanks for being a great competitor!! :)

Hi Jane,
Been missing talking to you girl! My son's computer is way slow and hard to get onto. Your daughter Emily is a spitting image of you! How cute!
I suppose its still winter back there. Darn! It's going to be a tough transition back to Wisconsin weather. Hugs, Cindy

It was a blast! The shout that went up across the country when that last goal was scored must have felt like a mini-quake.
The poor Russians, though - I just heard that all the coaches are being fired because they didn't win enough gold.

I enjoyed the Olympics this year. I always do though. Winter is my favorite but I will watch both summer and winter. I told my hubby last night that I am going to miss watching them every night.

I just laughed so hard at KAREN'S comment about the wreath....she's funny!

Well, I can't wait to start on my bedroom. It will be spring or early summer probably...but I sure would like to get it done this month!! Got some company coming and one guest room is all done..maybe you saw pics of it..black and white with tiny bit of red...I am lovin' it.
BUT...I have to move my computer desk out of this other bedroom, remove a DANG wallpaper border, find the right shade of blue, paint my vintage iron bed black (I wish I could have twin beds..and will keep watching for some thrifted ones)and I have GOT to have a black and white checked bedskirt...just like in the picture. Oh....me and my dreams keep me worn to a frazzle!! haha...but...ain't it fun!!

Yes it was...I'm always so let down when it is over:(

It was wonderful Jane...my girls had never really paid attention to the games and really got into it this year. They were convinced all the skiers were going to crash & burn and kept saying, "they just need to slow down!" too funny!
Hope it thaws out there soon! Take care!

Hello Jane
Lovely photo!
Thank you for your kind comments, you're so sweet!
In answer to your question, Pimms is a gin based long drink that we drink in the summer, with fruit floating in it!
It's gorgeous, if you ever get a chance you must try it!
Have a great week!

OMG! I thought I was the only one left with a Christmas thingy on the door!

i drank from my hubby's canada coffee cup today. He grew up there. So he was proud.

And silver is hardly something to be ashamed about.

Great picture. I love enthusiastic olympic fans, or enthusiastic fans of any sport. I guess I just love sports.
I did have to laugh at that comment about the wreath though. Do you think it would end your snow? :) It may be worth a try.

Lorrie said...

We are big winter Olympic fans here too. I was sad to see the games end. Such talent and heart among the athletes is wonderful to see. That Gold medal hockey game was a real thriller too.

Hi Jane..
Cute pic!
Thanks so much for putting the St. Patrick's Day button on your sidebar..
You are a doll!
PS..I still have the candles lit in my windows...it looks nice when you get home in the dark. No street lights here, and only 2 year rounders, so it is DARK!) Put a shamrock on that wreath and you are all set! :)
I never would have noticed!

Hey Beautiful Jane! I absolutely loved the Olympics and couldn't get enough of it. However I was equally stressed out watching all of it...as some fell, slid, crashed, caboombed! But all in all I felt like I was right there with them rooting them on!
Blessings,
Debbie
