A COLORFUL TABLESCAPE

But this post is about my tablescape that I put together last night.  The weather has been so dreary, a lot of rain and gloom, so I wanted something really bright and colorful.

So that is my tablescape this week I am joining Kathleen at  Cuisine Kathleen for Let's Dish and Marty at A Stroll Thru Life for Tabletop Tuesday.http://astrollthrulife.blogspot.com
I was so happy to receive a gift in the mail from Monica of The White Bench.  It was wrapped beautifully and tied up with this gorgeous sand dollar!

A I write it is pouring rain and sadly it is also pouring in Ft. Lauderdale where daughter Abby is having a weeks vacation.  She and her girlfriends are completely bummed out that they can't sit at the pool or on the beach.  I feel so bad for her and wish I could make the rain go away!  So how is it by you...rainy, sunny?

I will see you in a few days! :-)

Just as pretty as ever, Jane! Yes, I think us Southern girls often take for granted how good we do have it. Enjoy the rest of your day!

I shall wish your rain here and my sun there. Let's swap. I am weary of watering the flower garden. The table is festive and love the fruit. Sorry about my wonky blog not taking comments. hugs, olive

Well dear, that is one pretty table you set! I love colorful and rustic, what a great mix of textures and colors you have going on there!
It is cloudy right now, but it was sunny this morning. It's warmed up today and its'really supposed to warm up this week so maybe we can really start enjoying spring!
I want to get my flowers planted!
Went to lunch with Katie and Adi and a few others for her b-day today.
Have you come up with any ideas for dates for Galena? Time is going to start going fast now!
Big Hugs my lovely friend,

What a pretty tablescape! I can relate to all the dreary weather (we have it too) so I enjoyed seeing some happy colors! I love the flowers in the cloche!

Hi Jane ~ I love your cheery tablescape! I am tired of all the rain here in the 'burbs, too. We need warmer weather and sunshine - stat!

How great is it that you were inspired by those colorful fruits at the market, Jane. I think you set a lovely table keeping that inspiration in mind. It's been doing both here ~ rain and thunderstorms last night, sun this morning then more rain and thunderstorms. I have a feeling it will be like this all week. It wouldn't be so bad, but the humidity is gross.

Hi Janie... sorry the weather is not nice for your right now... but your tablescape looks sooo pretty and Springy, just love it all!... sounds like you have been real busy sorting all your closets and drawers... but it's a good feeling when you're all done, huh?... it is gorgeous here these days... I just finished an outside fairy house, now just waiting for those little sprites to move in!... sorry it's raining where your daughter is, but I am sure she will still have a ball laying around, shopping and just doing what girls do... xoxo Julie Marie

Lovely bright tablescape Jane. I am in Auckland NZ now and it is quite cold. Boots and thermal socks for me! I fear when I get back to Brisbane tonight it will be just as cold as we wait for our winter to set in. xx

For some reason I've been having trouble commenting on your blog the last couple of posts I read. but today we seem to be harmonizing! What a cheery tablescape--love it! Also your meal looked good a post or two ago. I hope you have a great trip to NC whenever it is!

Hi Jane! I feel terrible for your daughter, that is a real shame! I hope the weather turns around so they have a few nice days. We had a little sun today but mostly gray skies and rain. I'm waiting for the warm weather too, we had a tease for a few weeks in March and now it's back to normal springtime weather here. Your table looks like it will chase the gloom away - have a happy Cinco de Mayo!

So fun and charming Miss Jane.

Oklahoma has it's storms and our weather is always changing. This year I only pray whatever comes our way I'll still see blue skies and clouds of white.

Wonderful world we live in, huh?

Hi Jane Sweetie...
No rain here in the desert. We have had handfulls of drops and that is about it. I wish we would get some free water.

Love, LOVE your beautiful table. How festive it looks. Love the layering that you chose.

From the burlap to the festive place mats, what fun to dine at such a gorgeous table.

You really know how to dine in style sweet friend. I so enjoyed your share this evening.

Hope the rain goes away and the sun comes out so that your daughter will be able to play in Florida.

Love your little purple hearts from Monica and that gorgeous sand dollar was the element of surprise. How very pretty. Isn't it wonderful to receive gifts of love?

Many hugs sweetie and so much love, Sherry

I remember how good you and your family do Cinco de Mayo. This table scape is perfect for the occasion!

I love the cane glasses and carafe.
A grocery store find? Right on!

Your gift, so lovely...I can visualize the sand dollar displayed up at the lake house.

Your table setting is perfect for Cinco de Mayo! I forgot that is just around the corner. I love mexican food. So sorry to hear it has been ugly weather at your house and for your daughters vacation. We've had alot of sun but very little rain. We really NEED the rain too. Maybe you can send some our way! Ha!

I love all the fun colors against the white, and you're right. White is white! My favorite part is the cloche centerpiece. That looks perfect with it.

And it IS nice to live where I don't have to store a lot of winter clothes. I don't like the summer heat though. Yuck.

Cute table setting! We've had the drearies on and off here to (Northern Michigan). One day it's warm and the next day we've got the furnace on! Today ended up being lovely but it started out raining! I just swapped my clothes out and did a little cleaning out while I was at it!

White burlap...I have never seen it until now, and I like the look of it! It takes rustic to a whole other level! So sorry it's been yukky around your neck of the woods lately. I think it moved from here in the Kansas City, Mo. area toward you guys. It's REALLY terrible that your daughter is stuck in a rainy Florida. That must really be a bummer for her!!! Here's wishing you lots of sunshine, low humidity, and rain only between the hours of 3 and 6 a.m.! :-)

What a bright, festive setting, Jane. A nice way to brighten things up on a dreary, rainy day.
It was quite stormy here this morning, but the sun came out later this afternoon, and warmed up enough for me to sit outside after work.
Enjoy your weekend.

Well it's been rainy here too and at times raw out. But we really need the rain so I can't complain.

What a fun tablescape. I have never celebrated Cinqo de Mayo but I'll bet it's a blast.

I really love hearing about all the times you spend with your daughter. How nice to have such a close relationship!

I love bright colors, so I love your table. I'm doing the diet thing and I always crave Mexican food when I can't have it! I'm trying really hard not to cheat at all, although I think I'll go out on Mother's Day and have one "normal for me" meal. It doesn't seem to be working anyway...boy, it is a slow process at this age.

As for the closet, we travel enough now to warmer climates that I no longer switch out my closet. I have taken over the entire walk-in and I keep my "fancy clothes" in a guest room. I have pants and capris-long and short sleeves all in the closet all the time, aranged by color and sleeve length. (not obsessive at all)

Jane, I just love this color! It all goes so nicely together. It has a wonderful feel. I am so partial to those white dishes at Anthropologie. If there was any way I could justify another set of white dishes, I would grab them. I really like the textures of this table. Great music! Adele to Matchbox 20 - both favorites. Send your rain, we need it.

We have just now got under 80 degrees. I really like your cloche that you made. I have enjoyed trying to catch up with you all. Things are kind of hective at the moment for me. Have a great weekend and I always appreciate your visits. They mean the world to me. Hugs from Your Missouri Friend.

Jane, your table is so pretty! I need to get some burlap as it is all the rage. What pretty and bright colors.

I just love your hearts and they are wrapped so beautifully.

Funny you should mention bubble glasses, my friend just showed me gorgeous ones she got at Sears of all places in cobalt blue, dark green and purple. They had them in small, highball and goblets. She said they were three times as much online as at the store so she drove 40 minutes to pick up more!
