I have absolutely nothing to blog about! I did however, promise to leave my giveaway open for two posts to give everyone a chance to comment and join in. So, I am sitting here in my jammies, reading blogs while Milo lies on the table waiting for the squirrels to come down from the trees and I thought I would just ramble a bit.

~Our temps have been in the low 80's and I have had the windows and doors flung open all week, just enjoying all this fresh air and giving the air conditioning a little vacation.

~It was back to school for Abby and she landed two great babysitting jobs to help support her shopping habit. Yay!

~I finally started reading The Help, which I bought last winter. I have 2 chapters left so don't tell me what happens.

~I read that Steven Spielberg is making the movie and that Claire Danes may have the part of Skeeter and Anne Hathaway the role of Hilly. Sounds good to me. Now who should play Aibileen and Minny?

~Ran errands with Emily Wednesday morning...her errands, not mine. I just HAD to get out of the house.

~The Husband left me his 2~seater sports car today and I have grocery shopping. Will have to strap the bags to the roof.

~Had some sewer problems in the backyard Tuesday morning but was quite entertained by the two most gorgeous Irish plumbers that came to fix it.

~I'm way too old and married to be entertained by cute Irish plumbers.

~Was picking basil in the garden this week and got stung by a bee. This hasn't happened since I was about 5 years old. I really wanted my mom.

~Have a wedding to go to tomorrow and am agonizing over what to wear.

~May cancel going to wedding due to bee sting.

Okay...I've rambled enough. I am looking forward to going to Target for the gift card so I can do a little shopping of my own. I wish everyone the best of luck and want to say Hi to all of the new followers. It's really been a lot of fun. I hope all of you had a good week and that you have an even better weekend!

Hi Jane,

I love what you did with that little table. Are you for hire? Hehe.
I have projects lined up in my head but that is where they will stay for now-in my head.

Less than 4 months- you heard me. Can you even believe it? This year has flown by.
I would love to be entered in your giveaway.

I need to log out as we are having a storm. We need the rain.

big hugs,

Hi Jane...I thoroughly enjoyed reading about your week.

Sorry to hear about the bee sting. I have a slight bee allergy and always have a little benadryl around, as per Dr Z's orders. It isn't severe enough for any other remedy.

I hope you go to the the two seater.:-)
Happy Weekend!

Adolphs meat tenderizer...add a small amount of water to create a paste. Put on any bee sting and the sting goes away...

Loved The Help. I didn't know there was a movie in the works. Something to look forward too.

Honey, you are NEVER too old to be entertained by a couple of Irish plumbers!!! Made me laugh.
Penny gave you great advice about the Adolphs meat tenderizer for bee stings. It really works.
I'm still thinking about how great your little table turned out. I might just try something like that this weekend.
Have a great weekend and a fun time at the wedding.

Sounds like a good laying in the hammock and finishing your book kind of day!

Even though you're going to be annoyed to find out that the butler did it.

Sorry to spoil the ending!

"~I'm way too old and married to be entertained by cute Irish plumbers."

Oh My Dear, don't ever say that! When one is too old to still be entertained by thoughts of their younger-man-of-choice, they might as well dig a hole and fall into it!

In fact, I was just blogging here, and listening to "my music" and considering what I'd like to do, if only I were about 35 years younger.

And it didn't include blogging!

Sonny G said...

aww gosh-- so sorry you got stung..

Boy do I know the name of that tune called "Nothing to wear!"
I had to go to a funeral last Wed and UGH! It was 105 out and killing me to pull out a black bag, black shoes and a black dress. Ugh. One of those "Life happens" moments.
I think you rambled just fine. I'll listen any time you want. :)
Have a good weekend. Hope the sting is better!

Oh Janie, I would like to have a life just like where I do not have to do anything, lol. Milo looks so relaxed there. I am NOT selling MY Polish pottery. The ones I am selling are duplicates. They were ones I thought I bought on a bargain that I meant to sell on Ebay. I sold quite a few but I got tired posting so it's easier to sell now that I have a store. Thanks again for the cross. I really like it and I feel like it is a blessing....Christine

I'm not married, could you send those plumbers to my house? Thanks, you're a real pal.

Lucky you, being able to open the windows and turn off the air conditioning. Too much pollen in my little world. :(

YAY for Abby! :)

You're never too old to be entertained by cute plumbers. ;) Never.

Sorry about the bee sting. Hope you go ahead to the wedding and that you find the PERFECT outfit to wear! :)

What a cute, everyday post, Jane. Sometimes it's nice to just learn about the ordinary stuff that's going on in life. I'm just sitting here, at 10 at night. The grandbabies are in bed and we've sent son and DIL off for the evening - so guilt-free reading of blogs for me!

Lori E said...

Well put on a pretty dress and if it is too tight then tell everyone you are swollen from the bee sting. Poor baby.

Shirley said...

Hi Jane, I loved your ramblings and seeing Milo lay on the table. Did the groceries fit in your hubby's two sitter? You are never to old to look just don't touch or something to that effect. Have a great weekend. I think I left you a note on the previous post, but If i didn't I would love to enter your drawing. Your Missouri Friend.

Love that picture of Milo on the table! I enjoyed your ramblings. Can't believe you didn't take a photo of the Irish plumbers to post! Sounds like they would almost make plumbing problems fun! Why do we always worry about what to wear to a wedding? Everybody's looking at the bride anyway. laurie

Jane I had to giggle when you said you wanted your Mommy after your bee sting. Even at my age, I still say I want my Mommy too when I get a boo boo!

I hope entertaining those two cute Irish plumbers helped ease your pain a bit;) ;)

Enjoy that cool weather! I sure am here! I might even need a sweater tomorrow when it drops down to the 70's!!

Hey, Janie! Sorry to hear about the bee sting. Do you ever take benadryl for insect bites? I do in case of a reaction. AND there is something you can get at the drug store to paint on insect bites, and it works. It might even be called something like Sting. ;-)

Hope you have a good weekend. I am nursing Mr. Mapgie as I mentioned, and I now have a funeral of a close friend on Monday so will be driving there. I will trade you a wedding for a funeral!

I can't remember what year Abby is in school-- a senior? Have fun enjoying the nice weather and the fun car! And yes, you can still enjoy the plumbers as long as you look and don't touch :) Now, I have rambled too. Off to make dinner after a long day in the yard!

Hi Sweet Janie! You're ramblings were so very entertaining! :) It gave us all a peek inside your life a wee bit more, and how fun it was! But I truly believe the spirit moves moves you and then the words just come tumbling out to everyone's delight. Hope you made it home with all your groceries intact and that Milo got to chase some squirrels. :) Have a wonderful day!

I hope that bee sting didn't bother you too much! When we went away on our little NH getaway, I got stung by a bee on my bottom lip! PS...ohhh, about using sheets for my summer sewing project...I needed so much fabric that it was just the "cheap"...urr...uhh...I mean inexpensive way to go! hehe! They really are great if you have a project where you need some wide widths and lengths...less seams!
