READING LIST

I am joining Susan and some other bloggers in the Spring Reading Challenge 2009. This runs from March 20, 2009 through June 20, 2009. I am a little late in joining so I have kept my list short. I have also kept it narrowed down to books that I sometimes like to call "beach reads", because they are pretty easy to zip through. Lately my world is upside down with all I have to do to ready the lake house for summer and to start all my gardening here at home. Lots of time outside, but not to relax~yet. So here is my list:
The Enchanted April by Elizabeth Von Armin
Shelter Me by Juliette Fay
Revolutionary Road by Richard Yates
Ask Again Later by Jill A. Davis
Charms for the Easy Life by Kaye Gibbons
Wish me luck! I have had my nose in magazines for months for two reasons: I am inherently lazy and it is much easier to skim through a magazine and call it a night and I took advantage of many of the magazines subscriptions that were like 90% off the newsstand price, one perk the recession brought about. I never lack reading material, even if it's printed on a glossy page!
If you are interested in joining the challenge or just want to see what others are reading and how they are doing in their challenge, click the icon at the top of my post. This should be fun. Hope more of you join! Thank you Susan!
xoxo
Jane

Good Luck! They all look like good reads. I am an avid reader. I am already in two book clubs. Maybe I'll have :-)

Hi Sweetness! Sure glad that the little bit of fun prose...came just when needed and helped bring a smile... :)

Prose, can of course, take many forms (or so they say!) LOL...and depending on how I am led...my work can be 4 lines of nonsensical humor...or I can pour out my and heart soul. Humble thank you "Blondie" for pausing a moment to read my blog and have a bit of fun :)

Enjoy you book club reading...mmmm I may have to look into this ! :)

Hi Janie :)
I'm like you - I've been going through magazines so much because I haven't had the time to sit down and read. I do plan on doing some reading this summer, I just don't know when! lol hope you have a good week!

Hi Blondie,

Belated thanks for the award, I appreciate it! I go in spurts with reading, and it's been awhile since I got into a good book, but I agree with you about the magazines- what great deals there have been. I got 3 new subscriptions for $10 or less each, gotta love that!

Hi Blondie,
Beach reads sounds perfect! Seems there are never enough hours in a day. During winter I keep a book going but once the nice weather arrives it gets away from me.
