They are that perfect combo of fresh/pretty PLUS you they add such flavor to dishes. I have a small herb garden on my deck so I can run out (in a nightie or whatever;) to grab fresh herbs for cooking.

As for your back pain, my friend, so sorry. I'm so glad you are seeking treatment. I know firsthand watching my husband deal with that all winter. It takes such a toll on your ability to be active and to feel like yourself. Physical therapy IS helping him. We are hoping to avoid a third back surgery for him. I hope this does the trick for you. It feels good to be on the path towards healing, I'm sure.
Sorry to be so late coming by. My retirement next month and the FIRE that almost took our home earlier this month have been time consuming.
Happy Sunday!
xx, HeatherAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17032908426814046368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6702005723584006500.post-39160202019298821052016-05-21T20:52:18.447-05:002016-05-21T20:52:18.447-05:00I have missed so much since that tumble, then more...I have missed so much since that tumble, then more dangerous things. :(
I am so glad to know you are putting your health to the fore, because you need to be as healthy as you can for you, The Husband...kids...grandkids. So glad you listened to your husband and consulted a specialist. I do have slight scoliosis. My mother too, and now she is very bent over at 91. So we must do everything we can to avoid that. You sound like your gardening therapy does your spirits good! We won't be doing gardening here--that's all taken care of by our son-in-law's gardening service people, but buying herbs was the first thing we did. Snipping herbs for cooking always makes me feel like a gourmet cook, even if I'm not. And I agree with your husband about rosemary--cannot abide it, except for tucking into a roast chicken. But I use it for the Williams-Sonoma recipe for simmering on the stove for that wonderful scent their stores always have. You stick to those back exercises, Jane, and let us know if they help!Dewenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07330797553600987145noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6702005723584006500.post-61996137802146143142016-05-19T20:13:05.426-05:002016-05-19T20:13:05.426-05:00Looks like your gardens are well on their way. The counters are already crowded enough, plus there's not enough natural light. (The kitchen window faces north.) I'm so sorry to hear about your back. Sheesh, like you haven't had enough medical problems lately! Is the scoliosis something new (degenerative scoliosis) or have you had it since childhood? I hope the PT is giving you some relief.
