SPRING DECOR TOUCHES, SKIN PROBLEMS & A FANCY SHMANCY GROCERY STORE

I'm so happy to be back earlier than usual.  I didn't think I had much to share but I think most of you know by now I can take a small event in my life and run with it.  I thought this would be a slow week, I would loll around and get further in my book, take a nap here and there...just sort of take advantage of some free time and the many weekly errands and what seems like a zillion doctor appointments. Nope, keeping the Ponderosa clean and running smooth requires a lot of time and energy.  With yet another snowstorm predicted tomorrow, I made a trip to our corner grocery for a few small things and I treated myself to these tulips.  I really love yellow flowers, from tulips to roses to daisies.  I decided to change out my dining table with an old metal tray and a cute little wire container with jars that have flower frog lids.  I love how yellow compliments blue.  These placemats are pretty beat up, I've used them on our patio table outside and they've been exposed to the elements on more than one occasion.  Okay, here I go with the running dialogue. ^^

I also pulled out some dessert/salad plates I use for Easter dinner.  Why not display them?  I've had this linen tea towel for a couple of years.  Sometimes I see cute irresistible ones when I'm at my favorite stores but I really love this baby with embroidered carrots.  So these are on my kitchen island.  I think I found the plates at Pier 1 several years ago.

I talked about seeing a new doctor in my last post for my really out of control eczema.  It's not easy to talk about.  It's unsightly, up and down my arms and legs, my chest and now on my face.  A very, very red inflamed mess.  It goes from itching and burning to being so sore.  But my post brought a few fellow sufferers and one anonymous person to comment on their struggles with this affliction.  For those of you who have zero issues with regard to this disease, scroll on down.  I just wanted to share what I learned at this appointment with a doctor who specializes in eczema.

Above you can see his beautiful office.  Its not far from the business district of Chicago where buildings are being rehabbed left and right.  Look at that wall of shelves and the light fixtures.  I just couldn't resist taking a few snaps!  And the doctor, Peter Lio, M.D. was sincerely THE best.  He has dedicated a huge amount of time researching and treating eczema and you don't find too many physicians like this.

With one look at my sore, red and inflamed skin, he didn't hesitate to tell me I was suffering from an auto immunity deficiency.  In my own online searching I had pretty much known this.  For so long I thought my problem was a result of pets, using fragranced laundry soap, burning scented candles, you name it.  I was grasping at straws in my desperation.

A look at auto immune disease:

Auto immune disease develops when your immune system, which defends your body against disease, decides your healthy cells are foreign.
...as a result your immune system attacks healthy cells.  It can affect one or many different types of body tissue and changes in organ function.  The skin is the body's largest organ.

That said, the doctor put me on a very potent medication mainly used for individuals after organ transplants so the body doesn't reject the organ when the body might attack the healthy cells.  It's a little scary taking this drug.  There are side effects.  In the days I've been taking it I have had tingling and extreme cold in my feet.  Headaches as well.  I never get headaches and I'm taking Tylenol every 6 hours.  Small price to pay for what I'm going through.  It takes awhile for the medicine to kick in so my skin remains unchanged at this time.

I was also advised to use CereVe healing ointment...you can find this at any drugstore.  It's on the expensive side but well worth it.  My skin was so bad and every topical product I used caused incredible itching so I gave up.  This works to an extent. For those of you who wrote that you have eczema here and there, this would be a great start for healing.  Photo light therapy will start 3 times per week.  And with the inflammation I currently have, I need to take a ten minute bath several times a week with lukewarm water mixed with a 1/2 cup of bleach.  Yes, sounds scary but it's much less than the chlorine you would encounter in a pool.  This kills staph and toxins that may get into my system.

That's the long and short of it for now.  For those of you who commented on your own skin issues and some of your remedies, thank you.  I would highly recommend the CereVe ointment.  It protects and nourishes the skin with mineral oil and hyaluronic acid among other ingredients which helps the skin retain moisture.  I'm taking a Probiotic supplement to kill the bad bacteria internally.

Let me know if you have any questions.  There are a few more steps I'm following but I don't want to talk much more about my journey.  I pray I get results soon.  So far little has changed but I trust it will.  This doctor is incredible.

After my appointment, and The Husband was so nice coming with me, we Googled some of the restaurants in the area, and there were many.  We decided on this French bistro called Troquet.  It was outstanding.  Not a huge menu but different and delicious and I loved the casual atmosphere.  Although there will be many restaurants to choose from this up and coming area close to the business district in the city, I think we will make a few return visits here.

We had a few funny conversations in my last post when I wrote about my fancy grocery store.  I was there Saturday for my 2 weeks grocery shopping and it was a perfect time to get some shots to share.  As The Husband has been working from home a lot lately, he was feeling a little stir crazy and offered to come along.  Very strange indeed.  I mentioned the piano player to you guys.  Well, here he is.

There are a few little cute areas like this fine chocolate bar.  The also offer popcorn and the smell, like in a movie theatre, has your mouth watering.  In addition to the cool areas I mentioned last week, there is a sushi bar, and in the meat/seafood space, a person who mans a huge grill and will cook up steaks, burgers, fish--whatever you've bought to bring home and  devour.

This is the international aisle (of three) that I really love.  You can truly find anything you need for a recipe here.  Love it.  Couldn't get a better picture of the countries from which they supply hard to find ingredients...I have to get a little more sneaky.  lol!

And finally the bar.  I was pretty clueless why there was a bar in a grocery store as were you guys.  Well, I have a whole new perspective on it now.  When we arrived The Husband and I grabbed our own carts.  I told him in no uncertain terms that I wasn't going to tolerate or pay for his random purchases of Hostess Cupcakes, Doritos and 8 bottles of apple juice because they were on sale.  So we went our separate ways.  After my shopping was done, I strolled up and down aisles trying to find him.  No luck.  I pulled my phone out of my purse to call him and found a minimum of eight texts, most of them, "Where are you Jane?"  "Call me Jane."  "I've been looking everywhere for you, Jane."  So I called him.  Where are you?  Sitting in the bar naturally.  Ah ha.  Now I know why it's there.  "Hurry up, Jane.  I have a drink lined up for you".  As I stood in line while the gal rang up my groceries, I instinctively put on my lipstick. After all, I was having a drink with my love.  I would have brushed my hair, too, but you know it was a grocery store after all.  I do have my limits.

I finally broke down and bought curtains for Abby' room/guest room.  Gosh, curtains are so expensive.  As much as I want to finish up this room, its the last thing on my list of priorities.  I had a set of curtains picked out at Target.  At $24.99 a panel and needing two panels per window, it made me shudder.  I put them back.  And then on my trip to Marshall's last week I found not only curtains I loved but they were in packages of two panels for $19.99.  Wow, a half price difference.  The rods were a steal at Home Depot.  I wanted black as the drawer pulls on the dresser I painted are black.  I never thought I would ever buy anything black but I'm finding it to be a really nice contrast with my neutrals.  How about you?  I also switched out some of the pillows to blue/green sort of patterned pillowcases I've had forever but never used and they went perfectly with the throw that I had in another room.

We had a minimal amount of snow last week, but it came down more like sleet and was pretty dangerous for people driving.  And then we had a huge storm warning yesterday but it, too, amounted to more slippery roads than usual as the temps dropped.  And we now have another snowstorm predicted for tomorrow.  We'll see.  Its also supposed to get below freezing tonight so we might have those terrible roads again.  The irony is, we had warm temps just a few days ago, and by warm I mean mid 50's.  I wanted the dogs to get some exercise so I decided to do some backyard clean up.  So many tree branches, large and small.  I made a huge pile but was too lazy to haul them out to the curb. Ha!  And I picked up dog do do that had accumulated over the past 3 cold months.  Nasty job.  But Milo and Layla are just ecstatic to have me in the yard with them.  They ran and jumped and frolicked and sniffed their way along the ground which no longer had that covering of snow or lack of scent due to the cold.  They have both gotten so overweight. I can't wait for warmer weather to get them (and me) in shape.

A sure sign that they are out of shape is that after we have a little fun in the fresh air, they collapse like they ran a marathon.

Oh, how they love their soft throws.  Spoiled for sure. ;-D

I'm one of the many who loves Pinterest.  95% of what I Pin is recipes.  If you ever see something you like on this blog, just hover over it and click on the red Pin image.  Very much as I do with cookbooks, I have good intentions to make new dishes.  And then it becomes a forgotten memory.  A few weeks ago I was feeling a little stuck with the unimaginative dinners I was making and decided to sit down and pick out 3-4 recipes to try in the following week and when I went to the store, I would pick up any essentials I needed.  So far I've made three new recipes since Saturday and they have all been hits.  Above is a Roasted Chicken Provencal which was unbelievable.  I took this photo before I popped it in the oven so you could see the vivid colors of the shallots, whole garlic cloves and lemon.  The skin on the chicken turns crisp and tasty and the best thing?  I thew it all together in about ten minutes and it cooked in the oven about 50 minutes with very little help from me.  Alas, I feel like this post is way too long and I'm feeling that dreaded headache coming on.  I'll share the recipe in my next post.  You are going to love it.

I'll end here.  Did you watch the Oscars Sunday?  Very interesting.  I think Chris Rock handled the huge elephant in the room very well.  And The Voice came back (as well as Blindspot which I love) and I'm getting a huge kick out of this season with the bantering of Adam, Pharell, Christina and Blake.  They are so much more playful and funny and the talent of the contestants is incredible.  Do you watch?  And I missed Fixer Upper last night so I'm going to have to replay that.  Totally love that show and how Chip and Joanna relate with each other.  As the lakehouse is being built from wall studs to sub floors up, it's interesting to see demolition and the beginning to end progress.

That's it for now.  Have a great remaining week, and thanks for visiting! :)

Jane x

I think it is interesting to read about your skin condition and how you have found an excellent doctor and treatment for it, so please do keep on sharing. Nice you found bargain curtains, we do love a deal don't we?

That is the coolest grocery store ever ~ I would love to shop there. I had challenges finding curtains when I redid the living room last fall. They were either butt ugly or too expensive to touch and like you I needed 4 panels. I found some at Home Depot and although I am not in love with them ~ they match the wall colour perfectly and hubby likes them so they are a win/win. I see that Blindspot was back this week so I will watch it over the weekend. I did watch some of the Oscars just to see what Chris Rock would say and I too think he handled things well. Great post as always Jane xoxo

Good news for your eczema and hopefully your side effects won't get any worse. CereVe is what I need to by for my daughter, she gets small outbreaks. Had to chuckle about your husband at the store, my thought was cupcakes and drinks, that's me. No protest from me about your doggies cuddling in soft blankets, same here:). Love the Easter plates and flowers.
Keep warm and take care, Kathleen in Az

That is quite a grocery store! I agree about the fantastic prices and great selection for window treatments at those stores now. I always enjoy reading about your adventures, Jane. Stay warm and safe in the snow and Spring is just around the corner!

Finding the right doctor is the key and it sounds like you found someone who is an expert with your problem. My daughter and SIL also suffer from eczema and have tried different treatments, and got relief from some. One must be very careful about choosing a medications today because some of the effects can be worse than the problem.

I found the treasure trove of curtains in Home Goods (part of Marshalls) all priced reasonably. I do love that store!

Hi Jane, I adore your guest/Abby's room. It looks so serene.
I think one or both of these books by William Davis might help you. They explain why giving up wheat in your diet can improve health, particularly GI issues but also skin issues, sinus issues, etc. My skin has cleared tremendously with dietary changes. The books I have are: Wheat Belly Cookbook: 150 recipes to help you lose the wheat, lose the weight, and find your path back to health AND Wheat Belly Total Health: The ultimate grain free health and weight loss life plan.
I have no stake in these books and I'm also not a nut! ha But I have dealt with health issues and going wheat free (actually gluten free) has helped me.
Glad you found a good dr.! Very important!
Your grocery store is amazing! One of the joys of living in the city! :)

I just love that you turned a trip to the doctor into a date/event. That's how life needs to be lived.

I really hope you get relief from the eczema. It seems really unpleasant.

Oh Jane I hope that this medicine works and that you don't have to take it very long. So glad that you took some grocery store shots; I was curious! :)

The guest room is very pretty - and I have read that every room needs a touch of black.
My wee grandchildren, the twins, have eczema. They also take baths with a little bleach and it has really helped. Good luck with this!

Love tulips this time of year. Glad you were able to find a doctor who listened and had some great advice to offer. Praying all the new ideas/treatments work for you. I taught a little girl in Bible school two years ago that had terrible skin issues. The slightest bit of soap burned her precious skin!! That is an amazing grocery store!!

I remember the little baby I watched for a year. He had the same thing totally covering his body. I remember once he woke from a nap and was black and blue. I called his mother and told her. It's a good thing she knew and trusted me. I felt so sorry for this little guy. They went to specialists everywhere. The last one I knew of had them bathe him in something and then put his PJ's on wet. three times a day. He had to stay that way for a couple hours. This little guy is now 10 and I don't know how he is. I'd love to know.
Sounds like you are on some scary meds. I hope it works for you. So sorry you have to deal with all of this. The bleach baths sound awful but like you mentioned it's like being in a pool. I have always noticed how that helped poison ivy. I also know it helped my son's chicken pox. He had just moved in with us. We already had plans to go to the beach for spring break. There was a little boy swimming in the pool where we stayed that had terrible bug bites on him. Well as the pox started that's what we thought was happening to our guy. Then the high fever. We soon knew it was chicken pox. The people at the pool said just let him swim as they had already been exposed. We were careful about his time in the sun and he did okay. But when we flew home we knew we would be kicked off the flight even though he was not as contagious at that point as the pox were scabbed over. We put a big hat on him and kept him away from anyone that might be pregnant. I heard a couple people say something about his bug bites. Sorry for that long story.
Feel better. Hugs

Jane, thanks for sharing about your eczema. My daughter gets it on her feet. She was on antibiotics for a very nasty case of tonsillitis and I bet the medicine killed off the good bacteria as well as the bad. Ironically she told me last night that her eczema on her feet came back.
I can tell you were in Mariano's. I love ours in Elmhurst. My daughter and I stopped in for some groceries a few weeks ago and had Mimosas! I personally hate grocery shopping but love the trendy grocery stores popping up lately. Hmmm maybe that's why our grocery budget is taking a hit!
Hope your new medicine works!

Good luck with your new doctor and getting your condition in control. I am going to share your info with someone who is suffering and getting nowhere with her general physician.

While I love to look at recipes I don't cook anywhere near as often as I used to and don't pin as many recipes for that reason. Would you be willing to share a link to your Pinterest boards?

Oh Jane, I feel badly for you and your eczema. I do hope this doctor is your godsend. Autoimmune illnesses are rampant in my family, and I have one sister particularly who is plagued with more than her share, including eczema and a very debilitating nervous system syndrome. I love black accents in the home, and Abby's BR looks really cozy!

I would be so lost in that grocery store. My cooking is very basic, and not as often as it once was. For years, I cooked a meat and two or three veggies every day at dinner. No more. Travis and I are kinda one-pan meal eaters now. Throw it all in one pan, and easy does it!

Love the guest room. It looks great! Hope this Dr. is successful in getting rid of your problem. I have very dry skin, and what is called KP on the backs of my arms. I use AmLactin lotion to keep it under control.

Take care!

Love the yellow tulips on your table...looks beautiful and spring-like. And Abby's room/the guest room is looking really good - the curtains are perfect in there. Will be looking forward to your chicken recipe.

I am so sorry for what you're going through with your eczema. Makes me cringe and my heart hurt to read all you're going through. I'm very concerned about you being on that drug. Yes, eczema is an auto-immune disease which is caused by inflammation. Eczema is just a symptom of something else that is going on in your body (i.e., the autoimmune disease). They are finding that inflammation is the cause of many diseases - heart disease, asthma, allergies, carpal tunnel, Chrons, fibro, (which are other auto-immune diseases), GERD, you name it. And that inflammation comes from the gut. So yes, it can be controlled/helped by diet. Beth (above) mentioned something about this, too. I will email you later with some links that might be helpful to you.

Oh, the beautiful yellow tulips. :) I love them! And what a buy on the 4 curtain panels--aren't you glad you waited! What a break.( They make such a difference, I hadn't even remembered windows beside the bed before just now!

Oh, I hope this specialist has the answers---sounds very proactive and very sympathetic! I'm so happy you found someone like him, and if "bleach baths" and anti--immune drugs will help--- sounds worth it. I hate you're having headaches, though.
The before shot of the chicken dish looks good. I wonder if I could sub plain onion for shallots? Hubby doesn't care for shallots.
Hope you have a good weekend without too much snow!

I knew you had excema but I didn't think it was as severe or extensive as you described. That must be very difficult for you, and now that you're on medication that might have side effects, well, let's just say I'm really sorry and I hope you don't have to stay on it too long.

Yellow and blue are one of my fav combos too. I also adore blue with orange, but you wouldn't know it from looking at my decor.

I think I have a few things in common with your fur babies these days. It doesn't take much to make me feel pooped.

You're so right about curtains costing mucho dollars. I don't know why that is really?! Even sewing them can be pricey if the fabric is expensive. Guess they got us by the cajones.

Hi Jane, I am glad I remembered to check back and see this post. Our youngest daughter Hannah buys CereVe soap for her skin. She tends get lots of breakout and her derm doctor sent to to buy that. My hubs uses an Rx called Triamcinlone Acetonide Cream USP 0.1%. It helps. We tried the natural soaps but he had no change and someone suggested a diaper cream that the company formerly known as Ava Anderson sold. It was expensive and did nothing to change his ecezma . I just don't trust a 19 year rich college girl to tell me how and what to use in products naturally made. My grandfather made his own soap when I was a kid and that was long ago. My two nieces have hubby's that make soap and they swear it helps the eczema some of the kids have. It did not help my hubs. I hope that medication helps and you will not have to use it for a long period of time. They gave my hubs Prednisone but he was Dr. Jekyll Mr. Hyde a lot of the time. My father-in-law was still alive then and said to discourage him from taking it as it is a drug that you basically "buy now, pay later". ENT docs will use it short term for three-five days after tonsil surgery to help with pain and swelling and then bye bye bad drug. Our son-in-law Roger has really awful Psoriasis. He can barely get relief but the derm guy I use he did not like. He was really smart though and out me on the right track. I have very bad rosacea.I found a topical cream that helps but does not give me blinding headaches like the last five I tried! Oh my goodness, curtains are so expensive. I found some cute ones at K-Mart and although there are very few K-Mart stores left out here one is nearby and I found several styles that came in pairs. Of course we have two windows and so does Nick our youngest. The old bedroom Jeremy our oldest son had has one window but the curtains I found to replace his old ones when he left to buy his own home were too narrow and I ended up getting two pairs with four panels on one windows. It looks nice and full though. Plus they were on sale. It is hard finding panels in pairs. What a racket ! I am happy I stopped by and will be back. Enjoy your weekend. Thanks for all the info off to the drugstore we go for CerVe ointment. Hugs, Anne

I do feel your pain about that skin condition Without getting into too much detail, let's just say I have been there, back when I lived in Dallas 30 years ago. When I quit the job I hated, put my life on the track that I wanted by returning to school at the age of 43, found the love of my life -- well, it all went away. Forever.

I really need to see that grocery store! A bar for the husbands sounds like a godsend. Ever since Ray retired, he goes with me to the grocery, and while it is helpful to have someone to unload and carry, etc., I could do without the helpful suggestions from the peanut gallery. I might have to make a suggestion to the local groceries. We are so backward down here you know, that only this election last Tuesday did they put Sunday liquor sales on the ballot again!!! (It passed -- yay!) Now we can buy wine on Sunday without worrying about going straight to Hell!

My blog is getting a makeover today by Linda the Blog Fairy -- it's looking pretty cute! I hope my blog roll gets back on... Right now it's a work in progress.

I read on line that if one person in a family has eczema, others will have migraines or asthma. That really surprised me as I had eczema on my elbows when I was a kid, one of my sisters gets migraines and the other has asthma. There is some connection there. I'm glad you have a supportive husband, Jane.
I cannot wait to see tulips and I am a big fan of blue and white china, too. Your guest bedroom is inviting and comforting. You've done a terrific job in making it just what a bedroom should be - restful.
Hope this doctor is on the right track, but keep doing your own research. I've found the best answers to problems by reading reviews on medications and reading forums on different issues. One sees different issues discussed by people who have had an issue and what worked.

Thank you for being so upfront about your eczema Jane, you have helped so many people who suffer from this. My Dad had it really bad, he was on low dose steroids for the past few years. It still flared up really bad, my husband has it too. I just bought pure shea butter for him to put on it, I will tell him about the bath and the soap. I hope you get the relief you seek, and I hope you get this autoimmune situation under control. Not feeling good from side effects isn't the answer either, hopefully they will get better.

We are getting a grocery store like that...due to open in May. I thought my grocery bill was high now....can't wait to see what it will be when I start shopping there. :) I am so sorry you suffer with eczema....my husband has had it for years along with other things caused by auto immune deficiency. It's vicious. He uses a prescription cream but I think I will try the cerave ointment. Thanks so much for telling us about it. My dermatologist told me to use the cerave lotion for my face. The tulips are so pretty! My daffodils are just starting to pop up.

"As I stood in line while the gal rang up my groceries, I instinctively put on my lipstick. After all, I was having a drink with my love. I would have brushed my hair, too, but you know it was a grocery store after all. I do have my limits." - Blondie's Wisdom ;)
Love the way you think, Blondie!
Hope your skin feel better soon beautiful.

Blondie, I missed this post...till now. Thank you honey, so much for telling us about your eczema. ...I am going to buy some of that cereve ointment. I have tried many different kinds. I do know that if I sun my feet it helps it...it makes it itch somewhat but it always looks better. I have thought of buying a sunlamp for this.. Oo-la-la, that is some grocery store. Now I would not mind shopping so badly if I had that place. I love that you put your lipstick on for your fellow.:):) I like that you saved on the curtains. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie

Jane . . . I believe I found the cure for my eczema. I have suffered with it for almost ten years. It is mainly the result of food allergies that I manage pretty well, but the breakout never fully went away. I haven't worn crops in five years. I am so excited for spring and summer to wear them once again. I am almost counting this as a miracle. I pray you try it and it works for you. FIRST AID BEAUTY ULTRA REPAIR. Honestly. It's all gone! . . . and in one month, the scars are gone too! I use it in the morning and at night before I put my jammies on. I am still in disbelief. I purchased mine through QVC, but you can buy the products on line at Ulta, and Sephora. Do not purchase from Amazon, because you want it to be fresh. I am so grateful for this product. My hands and cuticles have benefited from the product too!
Good Luck!
I will be praying for the same results for you too!

I loved reading, meeting, seeing you . . .
Thank you for visiting me and commenting at the Irish Garden House . . .
So much to love about my first visit with you . . .
Your design, look, touches . . .
Your story and truths . . .
I ache for your suffering in the eczema . . .
It reminded me of many years ago of my brother who suffered unbelievably from eczema . . .
My mother would drape cloths over affected areas of his body, which were soaked in something, (now I wonder what) and I remember noticing the relief he would feel. I am happy you have found someone who may give you some answers, relief, peace.
Seeing your touches of spring in the salad plates and linens reminds me to gather my "spring things" and play a bit.
I look forward to visiting you again . . .

May I borrow this quote . . .
The pain now is part of the happiness then. That's the deal.

I'm glad you found a great doctor to take care of your skin needs, I'm lucky to be eczema free but I do recommend cerave even to babies!

What's the name of that unique grocery? might have to check it out sometime.

Also if you love Fixer upper, you should check this out....http://www.savvysouthernstyle.net/2016/03/some-facts-about-fixer-upper-you-may.html, I read the actual article and it is very interesting, including seeing the house after fixer upper leaves. :-)

I feel your eczema pain. I have psoriasis. Lately it's in my scalp... horrible stuff. I've been using Cetaphil for eczema, even though I have psoriasis, for the rest of my body, and it helps me. Have you tried it?

That grocery store is something else!

I hope you get warm weather soon. It sounds like you're having Spring fever pretty badly :)

Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog, Jane. I love Gladys Taber's books! I could have sworn I commented here already, but I don't see it. Maybe I had a kitty on my lap when I was by here last time and couldn't type. I love your guest room...it is so pretty and elegant looking. And the chicken dish? Yum! I'm looking forward to the recipe. I wish I had a cool grocery store like that one...I'd want to go all the time! I hope your skin issues start healing soon and you are getting relief from new treatments. Loved this post with the pretty photos. Take care! ~Cheryl

My dermatologist suggested using CereVe moisturizer. I really like it. I hope you get some relief soon. My friends son has eczema too. I LOVE your tulips! They're my favorite! That's crazy about the piano player in the grocery store. Although, I can see where it would be relaxing. Have a great day!

Hi Jane.I haven't followed you that long so wasn't aware of your problem with eczema. I hate to think what you are going through as I know a little about it. My grandson gets it quite badly on his feet and arms and the doc prescribes meds for it which don't always help a whole lot. After a surgery I had I broke out in rash and they said it was eczema caused by stress. I did get over the worst of it, but now, whenever I get warm, it comes back and then leaves when I'm cool again, so I don't have to treat it. That grocery store would be such fun to shop in and make a cruddy job good, I think..Left too much here for a simple comment so Happy Wednesday..Judy

Awe...Jane, first, thank you for your lovely comment on my blog the other day! So nice! I am so very sorry to here about your eczema. My oldest daughter as a baby had severe eczema, very thick, head to toe. We found out she was allergic to peanuts and several other foods. That's my personal experience with eczema. I get it, but not as bad. You are so adorable...I love the pic of you and hubby on the sidebar. Lastly, those adorable plates and the tea towel! :) xo Jen
