PAINTING DONE AND A LITTLE SPRINGIFYING!

Ta da!  This is the mantel and I can proudly say I shopped the house to do it except for the bunny on the end.  I have had the old window for a few years, I found it at a flea market event in Michigan and I was just waiting for the right time and place to use it.  By the way, I'm not doing a full room reveal yet as we are waiting for the new chairs and area rug.  My curtains are at the cleaners.  But you can see the wall color in these pictures, it's called White Rock by Benjamin Moore.
I won a giveaway that Judy from 20 North Ora had and the box came filled with handmade Easter goodies.  These are just two of the cuties she made.  There is a colorful banner and wall hanging that I forgot to upload (sorry Judy!).  I will include those in my next post.

After the painting was done, the rooms look so uncluttered.  I rearranged a few things on my kitchen counters and tossed a lot of cooking utensils I never use.  I still have to wipe down my cookbook covers but I think I am going to store a lot of them to keep the shelves more simple.  For the living room, I've ordered a beautiful cream colored area rug from L.L. Bean and I'm looking for new curtains for the dining nook and kitchen.  The Husband is scouting out corner cabinets for the TV.  It's funny how projects snowball.  I bought a new shower curtain liner from CVS today and I'm ready to change out the bathroom a bit.  I just have the spring bug, I guess!  When everything is done, we'll compare before/after pictures.  I'm just so happy that green paint and wallpaper is gone!

Happy Spring!!

Hi Jane,
You do have spring fever! Everything is looking good at your house. Love how you are using the old window above your mantel. Love all the Easter touches too.

Your home is going to be all fresh and new. Nothing like freshly painted walls and having someone else do it!

Jane it looks so nice. I absolutely LOVE that window -- the fact that it's so unusual and not the usual 4-6 panes. And it's shape. It looks stunning there. Good for you on the "B" too --you are really creative! I'm sure you feel good to have the project almost behind you!

Looks all so fresh and pretty, Jane. What color is on the walls and brand? I am looking for a tan color for a downstairs room of mine.

We had an Irish plasterer here at the house a few years ago. He wasn't much to look at but Lord, I could have closed my eyes and listened to that man talk all day! Lol

I love when you first decorate a room and it doesn't seem like you're in your own home because it looks too beautiful!

HI Jane, how are you doing? I've missed coming by your site. I am trying to do better with blogging. So many things grab at your time! Love your spring decor, the tray, the dishes, the moss. I love it. I bought some moss just not sure what to do with it. We had our kitchen project last summer, everything was undone for months, I really had to keep myself in check because it just made me cranky that it wasn't done. But it does come to an end...yay. Have a good week.
Blessings,
Debbie

I love the paint color and the mantel looks wonderful. What a great use for the window and the way the "B" compliments the mossy basket...you did great!

I need a push here. I have spring out, but I know I need to take down the curtains and blinds and wash them. Ugh. Maybe a weekend project. Maybe if it ever gets a little warmer. Do you know that it was 81 degrees here last year on this day??

Looks like spring cleaning is done and everything is decorated so cute! Karrie & I were just talking about decorating...been so busy at the store neither of us has started to spring-a-fy the houses....guess we'd better get busy ~ lol!!

Well dear one, looks like we both survived the painters' visits to our homes - and lived to tell about the upheaval!! Your rooms looks wonderful - I'm so happy to see all the Spring touches on your mantel and table - great job.

Nice paint color Jane, it's always hard to choose when the choices are limitless, especially when it comes to whites, off-whites, neutrals etc. I went with the new Kensington-Clark paint at Ace - came out top in the last
Consumer Reports - it looks really nice and is half the price of some better known brands.

Enjoy the weekend - love to you both.
