MOTHER'S DAY TABLESCAPE AND A GARDEN PARTY

Hi everyone!   I am back from the lake just in time to join Kathleen at Cuisine Kathleen for Let's Dish.  I am also Joining Tracie for Cottage Garden Party.  Visit her blog, Fishtail Cottage to see all the beautiful blooms sprouting up!

So while The Husband labored outside, I cleaned and scoured inside.  After a few hours the house smelled like Murphy's Oil Soap and Windex!  All I have left to do is one bathroom and the guest house...Yay!

I hope everyone had a great weekend.  I am back to housecleaning here and tons of laundry.  Yesterday after getting back from the lake, I just vegged out all day.  I'm making up for it today!  Have a good week! :-)

Jane, your ruffled dishes are beautiful. The lake garden will be stunning in just a few weeks. No need to worry about a climbing rose as it will likely try to take over the house. Mine do. hugs, olive

What a lovely time you had!!

Your table setting is beautiful....vintage ANYTHING is dear to my heart!

Your husband has a green GREEN thumb! I do not allow Louis Dean to tend to my plants. He can play around with his veggies but that's about it. Once (when newly married) I asked him to weed and edge the yard. He used Round Up! I had straw around the perimeter of the yard the rest of that year!

So fun that you found the perfect tablecloth at the lake house and such a cute pic of your Mom! All of your plants look healthy and happy Jane, I'm sure the daisies will put on quite a display:@)

Beautiful tribute to your lovely Mom. I think that it is so sweet that your hubby has a little rock garden. The plant that you didn't know the name of is Lamium (silver beacon) It is a ground cover that I have in my garden. It fills in so beautifully and thrives in my all sun garden...although it's supposed to be a shade plant. He will love it when it starts to fill up the spaces between the rocks and plants.
Have a nice day...Balisha

Wow ~ you have been busy Jane! We are trying to figure out when we can get to the cottage to get it opened up. Mom is still not strong enough to do a lot so it looks like it will be just Trev and I this year doing it. It is a great payoff though having the getaway for the summer months. I have the same plant that you have growing between the rocks ~ I can't remember the name of it either but it has the cutest little purple flowers. Happy Week-end! xo
