VIGNETTE FRIDAY

I have more of my fall decorations out and we are going to just skim through them quickly because there is so much out there to see and to be inspired from. I won't keep you here. The planters above are on my kitchen window sill...pretty fall colors.

A cabinet in my living room is decorated with a white pumpkin, a mercury glass squash and a sweet enamel pitcher holding fall colored flowers. The pitcher is from Farmhouse Wares. This picture was taken at night...
...and this during the day.
These day shots still came out dark as it is early evening and the sun has passed over my house.
Sort of hard to see.
The animals were up to their cute antics this morning so I got a shot of them lounging on the sofa with Abby. Layla is doing her Meer Cat impersonation and Milo is just looking handsome as always!

The never ending asthma is almost over. Day 15, I have seen my new doctor, she's great. She prescribed a high dose of prednisone to "blast it" as she said. Prednisone is an anti~inflammatory medication and will open up all of those bronchial tubes that have been tightened or in spasms over the last few weeks. It should kick in in a few hours and I am going to be doing the happy dance as I will BE ABLE to do the happy dance!! Tomorrow I have a day crammed with shopping and a packing and a manicure and lots of good stuff. Then off to Vegas we go and I promise to take a load of pictures. Thanks again guys, for being so sweet and supportive while I have been ill. I will always be there for you! :-)

I am joining in with Artie at Color Outside The Lines for Vignette Friday. Thanks for hosting this fun event, Artie!

Hi Jane...

Ohhh...your home looks gorgeous in all of its autumn finery, my friend! I love the look of the pots of autumn florals that sit in your window sill! Love, love, LOVE that big ol' enamel pitcher full of autumn flowers!!! And...I'm just green with envy over your pretty mercury glass gourd! Wherever did you find that? You have some beautiful autumn vignettes, my friend! Thank you for sharing them with us!!!

Jane, I didn't know that you were having problems with asthma! I certainly will say a prayer, sweet lady! I have had serious problems with asthma for years and take all kinds of medications for it! I'm tellin' ya what...that prednisone will kick it! I really hate to admit this but I love the stuff. Of course, I only take it when I have had a bad flare up. But the stuff pumps me so full of energy that I'm like superwoman! Hehe! On the bad side of that...I can't sleep when taking it. Anyway, I sure hope you get to feeling better, my friend!!!

Love and prayers,
Chari @Happy To Design

Janie, I'm so sorry you've been sick! There is nothing worse than feeling stopped up... either lungwise or nosewise. Hope you are feeling better by the time you read this.

I have missed YOU! Just checking in from blogger exile to see how things are. I like your fallness as Shelia would say. I haven't done the first thing and might not. LOL! I think I'm jumping from summer to Christmas.

Mr. Magpie is finally on the mend, and I want to thank you for your prayers. They mean much. I am finally free of my nursing duties, but now I have to wear my maid hat along with my painters hat. I hope to be back on the blog rounds in a week or so. This has all just taken longer than I thought, and then I came down with a stomach thing. Still not sure what. Maybe stress. LOL! ;-)

Sending you warm hugs across the miles...

XO,

Sheila :-)

I haven't visited your blog in a while. I'm so sorry to read that you've been struggling with severe asthma issues! Believe me I've been there. I used to not be able to catch my breath after going up a flight of stairs at work and think, "My goodness, I must really be out of shape!" when it was the asthma all along. It really does slow a person down and there's nothing worse than not being able to breath. I've been taking a pharmaceutical grade fish oil for inflammation (muscle aches) and I was quite surprised when it helped the asthma improve. When I thought about it, though, asthma is just inflammation of the bronchial tubes, so it makes sense. The Omega 3 fish oil I take is ultra pure. It is so pure that it won't freeze, which is a good way to test quality and purity. You have to be careful not to get it at a health food store because theirs is not pharmaceutical grade and can actually harm you (mercury and impurities). Hope you continue to feel better!
