PINK SATURDAY: PINKING OUTSIDE OF THE BOX

Last Saturday was my first "Pink Saturday" and I had a miserable time finding "pink" in my home. Oh yes, a little here and there, but no collections or anything to make a little vignette...so I took the advice of a friendly blogger friend and went shopping!! One of my favorite pastimes of course. I went to a little town that has a little main street with a lot of little shops with a lot of little treasures, and I did find some pink. Now...you must spot the pink:
Wow, look at all this stuff! Where do I begin?

Oh my, I even want the wallpaper! (And everything else, but I practice restraint).

Have you spotted any pink yet?

Oh yes, finally!! Isn't this the sweetest!! Did I buy it? Well, err...no. What would I do with one teacup and saucer? I may be blonde but I am a practical blonde. I did however purchase quite a few other treasures that I am going to save for another day (hint: Blue Monday...)
I wish my post were longer and you are probably wondering what the heck is up with Blondie that she has not written a post that exceeds 2000 words, but it is late and I need some well deserved sleep after my pink quest today. By the way, I meant to go to many of the other shops along this little main street but my camera battery became "exhausted" just like me now!
Pay a visit to all the Pink Saturday participants that worked so hard to share their pink treasures with all of us and give a big thanks to Beverly at How Sweet the Sound who works so hard to organize this great day!!!!!
xoxo
Jane

Good morning Jane, I am sorry it took me so long to answer your sweet comment. I found your post through Beverly's list of Pinkies. At least that's where I think I found you. Your name grabbed me because that is my sister's name too. Her middle name is Anne. We actually call her Jane Anne. Her friends and co-workers call her Jane. When we call her at work and ask for Jane Anne they get confused. LOL. She is a blonde too and very smart.

I love your pink today and your text and photos too. Who doesn't love antique shops. I used to sell antiques with my sisters. I have retired for a while but I still love the hunt. Smile.

Happy Pink Saturday Jane.

Hugs...Jeanne

Jane I forgot to answer your question about the desk. It is very old, probably early 1900's. I bought it when I was an antique dealer. Those desks can sell for up to a thousand dollars or more. depending on the condition and style. I paid $500.00 at the time because it had the inlaid on the front and was in good condition. Now it would sell for much much more. I would never sell it though. Smile. There are reproductions out they and they are lovely.

Hugs again...Jeanne

What a great little shop! I bet you could spend hours in there. I know I was supposed to be looking for pink (and I did spy some), but I'm lusting after the yellow apocathery (sp?) jar in the white cabinet haha.
Great trip, thanks! Kathy

Thanks so much for the shopping venture. It's very cold and snowy out today so it was nice to stay all warm and cozy and at the same time go shopping!

Naaa! We want you to post whatever it inspires you to post, otherwise all of those 2000 will not inspire us! I love all of your shopping treasures. I do love teacups...I am not blonde...well, I am STRAWBERRY blonde mixed with grey but I have quite a collection of mixed and matched tea cups that someday I will put in a pretty china cabinet...of course I will need a pretty china cabinet first and a space to put it. LOL! Happy Pink Saturday!

Hi Jane - what a sweet little flowery teacup. I might've been tempted to get it, since I'm not always practical. ;)
I just saw where you explained the retreat on my comments - that sounds like such a special time for your children, & what a good time for them to take it. I hope your daughter has a special weekend! {{hugs}}}
